Q. How should I access our yahoo group, ramashramWeb?
In order to access the group Home-Page:

1. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/ and sign in with a Yahoo-ID. [Do not try to logon to the group directly as http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ramashramWeb/. You would get an error saying “Sorry, this group is available to members ONLY. You are not allowed to access this group. Simply ignore it and go to http://groups.yahoo.com and then sign in.]
2. If your profile does not exist, you might be requested to fill in certain basic information to create a profile. Fill the required details and proceed.
3. Select ramashramWeb from the list of all the groups in the left panel.
4. You should see a list of all the groups you have joined under “My Groups” heading. If this is your first time at yahoo groups, you might be required to fill in your profile. Please select them and proceed.
5. You should be able to see a panel on the Left side having items like “Home Messages … Files Photos .. Database Members …”
6. File option consists of various files related to our progress, project drafts and minutes of our meetings.
7. Database option can be used for uploading your phone numbers. Simply click on the “Database” option on the Left Panel and then select “Simple Phone Book” table. Once you are able to view the table, select “Add Record” to add your telephone details. Finally, select “Save Record” to save the entry.

Q. How do I install Yahoo Messenger?
Installing Yahoo-Messsenger:

1. If you do not have Yahoo Messenger already installed on your Desktop, please follow these instructions. [If you use Linux/Unix and need instructions, please let us know.]
2. Go to http://www.yahoo.com/
3. Select Yahoo Messenger using the Messenger icon located at the top of the page.
4. Download Yahoo Messenger, select the download button and install.
5. You can add members (e.g. reena_sanjiv, raghunathprasad2003, anityarahi, etc.) to your Friends list. Down the line, during one of the meetings, you can simultaneously populate your friend list by inviting members.
6. A comprehensive member list can be obtained by going to Members Page at our Group website and looking at their yahoo id from the list.
7. During meetings, please do not keep your status invisible, and if you do, please let us know when you come online so that we can add you to the ongoing meeting.

Q. I am having trouble receiving invites from others.
This problem is a bug in Yahoo! Messenger. Here are three things that we recommend (more or less in this order):

1. Request someone else to send you an invite.
2. Please logout and then login.
3. Lastly, you can choose one of these IDs (ramashram1, ramashram2, ramashram3, ramashram4) and login with that. You can request Amit Utkarsh, Gautam Srivastava, Manoj Pandey for the password. Pleaes do ensure that the ID you choose (from the above four) is not being used by someone else.
