Ramashram Satsang Mathura – An Introduction

Ramashram Satsang Mathura – An Introduction

We express our deepest reverence, respect and extreme gratitude to Guru Maharaj the founder of Ramashram Satsang, Dr. Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji for providing us with an opportunity to understand personal progress and attain inner peace through his satsang.

Ramashram Satsang Mathura was founded by Dr. Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji with blessings from his spiritual guru Shri Ram Chandraji Maharaj.

An Introduction To Ramashram Satsang Mathura

It was founded as an organization where people could participate individually as well as in a group, in certain prescribed activities, with the goal of obtaining lasting inner peace .

At the core of Ramashram Satsang Mathura is a unique meditation system devised by Guru Maharaj. This is a mixture or fusion of several different ideologies and practices, specially modified to suit today’s fast paced life, where time is at a premium, and generally speaking the appetite for rigorous mental and physical pursuits is small. Devoting only about an hour every day, using this simple, easy and effective method, everyone can attain lasting inner peace and eternal happiness, all while successfully engaging in the normal activities of work and family life. It is a system where all the heavy lifting is done by the Guru. The only thing the devotee has to do is to sit quietly in front of him while the guru uses his powers to cleanse the devotees heart, elevates him, and ultimately delivers him to the highest spiritual stage.

Several saints of our heritage have reached great spiritual heights, and this provides direct evidence of the effectiveness of Guru Maharaj’s system and prescription.

One can question the need for embarking on a seemingly difficult spiritual journey when everything in our physical world appears to be flowing smoothly. Humans by nature seek happiness. True happiness however is not found in worldly pursuits where most of us search for it. When worldly desires are fulfilled, we become happy, and when they are not, we become sad.

This roller coaster ride continues throughout our life, and leads to a substantial part of our life being spent in unhappiness and anxiety.

In a discourse Krishna Kant Ji, an accomplished spiritual leader and a torchbearer of Ramashram Satsang Mathura postulated that human life is meant to be lived in happiness, bliss and peace, but since we seek happiness in worldy pursuits we end up never really finding it. When we regularly sit in the company of a self-realized and an all-able person or guru our internal state is illuminated . This internal enlightenment is the one and only source of lasting peace. Our Guru Maharaj has given us a simple system to do just that.

The ultimate aim of any spiritual undertaking is to seek oneness with the supreme, but this is not easy and takes several years of systematic continuous effort. However only after a few weeks or months of regular practice one can feel an internal change . One feels more calm and tolerant. One’s behavior towards others improves, in turn resulting in others treating us better. Steadily love for others increases and anger and greed decrease. All these changes make our life much more peaceful, happier and pleasurable.

Therefore this system of internal satsang is not an abstract concept but slowly and steadily instills in us the art of appropriately living in this world where by we become better citizens, workers, coworkers , husbands, wives, fathers, mothers , daughters sons etc.

The physical hardships or obstacles we face do not necessarily change but our perception changes and we no longer get saddened by these.

Pandit Mihilal Ji, Guru Maharaj’s most devoted and loved disciple used to say…

We do not guarantee that all the obstacles of the physical world will disappear if you partake in this satsang but I can assure you that you will not get sad and unhappy because of them like you used to before”

We pray to Guru Maharaj to bless us all so that we can make meaningful progress in our spiritual journey. We ask for his guidance as we continue to embark on this path that he has prescribed for us.
